I am a massive fan of cast iron pots and pans and have a huge Le Creuset collection, which is worth a small fortune. I found this little beauty in our local junk shop for £17.50. It's a big cast iron enamelled stock pot, admittedly not Le Creuset but it still matches and is exactly what I was after but at a fraction of the cost.
Ohhhhh lush! I love the orange le creuset...very retro!
ReplyDeleteGin, why dont you link up to liz's blog over at Me & My shadow. The other Magpies would love to see your finds x
Thanks Em, I will x
ReplyDeleteI love Le Creuset too - volcanic orange is the best! My best second hand buy was a casserole dish for only £3. Your stockpot is lovely and a great match.
ReplyDeleteI've never come across Le Creuset on my thrifty travels as yet but I've been hoping to for some time now - I can't get enough of their pots and they last a life time if well cared for. The volcanic orange is the most striking shade too, though I'm fairly partial to some of the blues I've seen :-)

That is the BEST color. Who cares if it has the label if it does the job, makes you happy and matches your set!
ReplyDeleteI own 2 Le Creuset pieces, both preowned, and so expensive I don't use them as often as I should. I know they can take it.
Oh Hi! I've not seen your blog, so glad to meet you via my link up.
ReplyDeleteLove Le Creuset - but I don't seem to have the wrist strength to use it!! :0(
Congrats on your dieting by the way - you look amazing x
Hi, glad to meet you all! Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I'm fairly new to the world of blogging so I'm just feeling my way around at the moment, finding some really interesting blogs (like yours) with the help of friends like Mama Syder. Hope to speak to you again xxx
